Utah ... Here We Are!!!

So it ifs official ... We are in beautiful Utah where it is snowy and cold!!! Our move was exciting and busy, busy, busy! We were saddened to leave our wonderful friends in Arizona, Jared's family, and Jim & Sarah, Megan, Gracey, Jameson and {too cute for words } Luke behind.

We arrived two weeks ago today and woke up early Thursday morning to begin unpacking trailers and boxes. Diane {the best mother-in-law EVER} drove our extra car and stayed until Tuesday to help unpack and organize the house. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for all the work she did. I do not think she sat one time during the duration of her stay. By Sunday afternoon, we had pretty much put everything away and all that is left is to decorate the house and hang our art. Oh, how I wish Sarah were here to do this with me ... I am very creative, but was not gifted with the talent of house decorating!

Caden, Cassie and Chloe are loving Utah and are adapting well. It has been a change for all of them, but seem to be thriving in their new school, church and with friends. I do not think a day has gone by since we have moved into our home where we have not had a friend or neighbor over to play. I must say that it is nice having a basement, as the kids' toys are there and even with 4 friends over at a time, it is still quiet.

Tomorrow will be our first Thanksgiving "away" from our immediate families. We will spend the day with Jared's cousin, Lindsey and Denette and their wonderful family. I have spent all day baking pies, cheesecakes, jello, etc. I am sure I will have pictures to post tomorrow afternoon, as I plan on getting out my camera and getting a few pictures!!!

Thanksgiving is always a time to ponder upon the many things I am grateful for. If I had a choose one of those things to express my gratitude for today, it would be that I am thankful that our family is together! {I am sure Jared is even more grateful that he will not be packing a bag and traveling anymore!}

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
