Christmas Spirit

Just had a short post on how we have been encouraged (by me) to set up Christmas lights this year. Finally after a 3 year streak of no Christmas lights we have some spirit! Last year the only thing that has ANY Christmas spirit was a blowup snowman with a light in it. (by the way I set that up) But it was trashed by the end of the year by the snow. So if you have Christmas lights then go and set them up, they aren't doing any good sitting in the box somewhere collecting dust. Ill post some pictures to inspire you to see how much better they make your house look.

More to come...

Snow hit us hard...

Over the past few days we have encountered a serious snowstorm. Here is my equation for the winter. Winter+Snow+Plow+driveway=Happy Caden. I couldn't wait for the snow to be high enough to plow, literally I started to plow at 9:00 at night when the snow had reached 1 inch. (this is sat. night) So after plowing the street, out driveway, and 3 other driveways I felt satisfied enough to wait for morning.
When i woke up the next morning I was excited as I normally am on Christmas morning. We recently had some new neighbors moving in, and my dad saw their dad shoveling their driveway. Judging by the size of the driveway and the area that he had already covered he had about 2-3 more hours of snow shoveling. So my dad came and woke me up (he said that that was the fastest he had ever seen me get ready) and I rushed over there to help him. After plowing his driveway (took approximately 3 minutes) I was still not satisfied, so I moved on to our driveway, which lead to the neighbors, and lead to the next neighbors and so on...
When I had finished 7 houses I ran out of gas, but after a speedy refuel I was on my way to the next house. The last guy offered me $10 to pay for gas but I refused. He insisted and I refused, he said that If i didn't take it he would literally put it in my hand. So... I took it and made a speedy hast home to go to church. I am looking forward to what this years weather will challenge me and my snow plow. And wait for this weeks snowstorm to see how much snow it can bring. (I think that this snow storm has already brought more snow than the total amount of snow from last year)

Halloween

Candy... The thing that all parents don't like because of the wrappers. They seem to make their way out of the garbage and onto the floor (I don't know how the wrappers do it but it is truly magical). Well we all (the kids) came home with more than enough candy. We all made our rounds and was able to come up with ALOT more candy than we need, but that is okay. The only problem with this Halloween was it was VERY COLD. And... it was raining. Most costumes that we saw were covered with a snow jacket. But the smart people (us) drove from house to house in our Heated car. Well after a lot of curling hair and preparation we were able to pull of our costumes. A cheerleader (my moms old high school uniform), Fancy nancy (a book character, look it up on amazon), and Scream (the same thing that I have been for 3 years and counting).

I already have next year's costume planned. I am going to be either robin hood, a Red-Neck, or Santa Clause.

Winter...Cold

Winter is Finally here. It is still fall but it COLD, its snowed 2 days and is starting to warm back up. Its crazy, summer has passed by so quick. Its time to break in my dad's favorite thing about the house, our newly installed Wood Burning Stove.

This week is also Halloween so we have a chance to carve pumpkins
Caden's
Cassie's
and Chloe's

Hope to have a fun time trick or treating. Since we are in Utah and Halloween is on a sunday, the Halloween date has been changed by the church to saturday.

Arizona!

We recently had the opportunity to visit HOT arizona. It was good to be back after 11 months of Utah (Can you believe it's been that long!). My mom and sisters left earlier than my dad and I because I had school. But... We got to fly and trade in the 10 hour drive for a 2 hour flight! (lucky us) We went to Arizona for my dad's 20 year high school reunion. We all got to see our friends and family, so it was cool to be back. It felt like we never left. The trip was cool and we were so excited to go, but it was still nice to come home. Thanks to the U family for letting us stay at your Beautiful home.

Back To Blogging

Hello, its Caden. I mostly (probably 99% of the time) will be posting the blogs now that my mom seems to be "inactive". So I was happy to quickly take her place when i got bored one day. Look forward to more posts more often, and keep checking back to see what's happening with us.
